When trying to decorate your children’s bedroom one of the first things that you can start with is the furniture. The older they become the taller they are and the more space they will need. There are a variety of bedroom sets that will help them to create a room that they will never want to leave.
Multi Functional Bedroom Sets
Beds are mainly used for your children to sleep – but nowadays it is possible to find certain kinds that can be used in other ways. Some of these are designed with dressers beneath the bed that negate the need of a dresser or toy box. This makes it easy for them to store their clothes in an easy spot and can provide more space in their room during sleepovers.
Another common multi functional bedroom sets are the two in one bunk beds. These come in a variety of ways. They all have the one bed at the top – but on the bottom there might be a futon bed, desk, or another regular bed. This is ideal for kids who love to have friends over a lot or when they need an area to do their homework. These are affordable and they make great space savers.
Trundle Beds
The trundle bed is a regular bed that is designed with a roll out sleep unit. It is hidden underneath the bed and is covered by wood paneling to match the bed frame. When your child has a sleepover they can simply pull it out with the bed already made and ready. This part of the bed can also be used as storage. All you have to do is remove the mattress and store it in a safe place.
Futon And Daybed
The futon and the daybed are similar in the fact that they provide the children with a place to sit during the daytime and to sleep during the night. The difference is in the way that they are made. Futons are designed to sit upright like a couch using a long mattress. To turn it into a bed you simply pull it out and it turns into a twin or double sized mattress.
The daybed is used mainly in girl’s rooms. The mattress is set on a normal bed frame which has a headboard attached to the back and extended to the side. During the daytime this acts like a couch – but at night the child simply has to move the throw pillow aside and lay down.
